Therapy that understands what it costs to live between two worlds

Therapy with me is clinical, culturally rooted, and informed by liberation psychology. You don't have to explain your family, your fear, or your culture to me first. I work with adults (18+) who live in Texas.

What we can work on

  • Adults affected by ICE and deportation, including partners, parents, adult children and siblings of people who've been detained or deported
  • Immigration-related stress and trauma: DACA delays, status uncertainty, fear of separation
  • Parents carrying the fear and grief of worrying about their children's safety
  • First-gen and eldest-daughter burnout: carrying the family, the pressure, the guilt
  • Breaking generational cycles and repairing relationships with your parents
  • Identity, belonging and self-worth while living between cultures and languages
  • Anxiety, depression and the numbness that comes after years of overfunctioning
  • Grief, including grieving the life or childhood you didn't get

Therapy is political

Immigration policy, family separation, and years of surviving in systems that weren't built for us shape our nervous systems, our relationships, and our sense of safety. My approach draws on liberation psychology and decolonized practice. We look at what's happening inside you and the systems around you, so you stop blaming yourself for things that were never your fault. Destigmatizing mental health in our immigrant and Latinx communities is part of the work too.
